This Liberty Kit house is a Richmond model. It matches the 1939 Liberty catalogue page below.  It was built by the owners in 1940 and the children sold it it to the current owner in 2000. People in the neighborhood had told me it was a Sears, but again and again that is what is remembered in the story of a kit home. Sears was the most well known of the companies. Many fixtures are original although there have been some updates.

It was built with an double overlapping set of shingles. Many kit companies are known for having quality materials, and top of the line building practices.
